
Dr. Keoshia Worthy, Ph.D.
Dr. Keoshia Worthy is a licensed psychologist and former college athlete. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Winston-Salem State University. After completing her degrees, she briefly worked as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). Dr. Worthy's interest in the Black and queer experience of mental health, along with her passion for destigmatizing and making mental health more accessible, motivated her to pursue a Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology at Seton Hall University.
Dr. Worthy brings over 15 years of experience in mental health to her practice. She specializes in trauma and couples therapy and has extensive expertise in helping individuals gain confidence in managing a range of issues, including race-related stress, and issues related to queerness. Dr. Worthy is trained in psychodynamic psychology and incorporates approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), EFCT, and trauma-informed strategies to tailor her assistance to each individual's needs.
Dr. Worthy prioritizes self-care and serves as a model for her patients. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with her dog, family, and friends, and treating herself to solo outings as an act of self-love.
