Dr. Greg Petronzi, Ph.D.

Gregory J. Petronzi, Ph.D., is a licensed counseling psychologist with over 18 years of experience in the mental health field. Greg has worked in a variety of clinical settings with specific training in college counseling centers, VA hospitals, substance abuse rehabilitation, palliative care, psychology oncology, and combat related PTSD. Greg obtained his Master of Arts in Mental Health and Wellness at New York University and completed his Doctorate in Counseling Psychology at Seton Hall University. His research interests and publications explore optimal therapist/client matching and the extent to which peoples’ dispositional characteristics predict their preferences for various psychotherapeutic orientations. He has been teaching therapy to Masters students at New York University’s Department of Applied Psychology since 2016, while practicing therapy in his private practice. In addition to his work in the field of psychology Dr. Petronzi also is an internationally recognized watchmaker and a musician playing shows intermittently at local venues in NYC.
